Northland Dog of the Week

Each week we showcase a dog from one of the Northland shelters that needs a new home. This week it’s Memphis turn. Who says you can't find a specialty breed at a shelter. For example, Memphis here is an XL Floofy Love Goober. Very sought after by those who love big friendly dogs. Memphis has been selective of dog friends and will need to meet future fur siblings before going home. Come meet this adorable guy at the Zona Rosa location and fall in love.

Memphis is neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines and ready for his forever home.

❤️Valentines Day Northland Corner❤️

Looking for places to find flowers, gifts for your Valentine OR Galentine? We have put together a list of local Northland places to check into before Friday

Flowers

💐White Farmhouse Flowers and Gifts - In downtown Parkville. You can pick up pre-arranged flowers or order. Along with flowers they have chocolates and a gift shop full of unique items to put together the perfect gift.

💐Jean’s Flower’s and Gifts - Smithville. Besides having an awesome Instagram account where you get to see all the behind-the-scenes footage of what it takes to run the cutest flower shop, they also have beautiful arrangements and gifts for valentines.

💐Price Chopper Floral - One of my personal favorite places to get flowers. Very reasonably priced and great quality beautiful flowers that last. They have SO MANY ready to go arrangements.

Treats

🍫Old Time Sweets and Antiques - Parkville. This little shop is filled with special treats and candy to give. Beautiful chocolates, ice cream, and candy from your childhood.

🍫Classy Chocolate - This chocolate store in Liberty has all the treats your Galentine might want. Dipped strawberries, cookies, chocolate covered nuts and so much more!

🍫Nellie’s Sweet Shoppe - Smithville - fudge, chocolate, candy, and ice cream. What more could someone ask for?

Get Out of KC - Branson

Each month we like to share a place to get out of town to. If you are looking to stay close for Spring Break and you haven’t yet been to Branson - Let me try to convince you with this list of places I have personally been to and recommend to my close friends when they visit.

Stay

Most people will tell you to stay at the swanky and beautiful Big Cedar Lodge. While I do love staying there it is sometimes very expensive. Instead of Big Cedar, we recommend The Suites at Fall Creek. With a full kitchen, living room areas one and two bedrooms - The Suites are suited for families. Multiple pools, mini golf, and planned activities for the kids makes this place a hit for everyone

Play

Silver Dollar City for a seriously unexpected great time. Hit up the Time Traveler and on your way out grab some cinnamon rolls at the cafe just past the ticket entrance for breakfast the next day

Dolly Partons Dixie Stampede - If you like horses, eating with your hands and joining in on the battles in the North vs. South. You must visit this show (It’s my favorite all time show)

Fritzs Adventure Park - If you have kids in the 5-12 age range head over to this indoor play area. Kids can climb run and jump all over this place inside airplanes, underground tunnels and the famous WALL. Spend a full half day here.

Eat

Billy Gails for breakfast and pancakes bigger than your head - Tip go to the one located near downtown Branson for less of a wait.

Florentina’s Restorante for a fast dinner. They get the food out FAST here and its always hot! They can sit larger parties and serve up big portions.
