My Play Cafe has been one our favorite businesses to work with since starting 816 Local. They were the first to take a chance on us and we will be forever grateful. My Play Cafe is an indoor play area for kids 6 and under and it also has a coffee shop inside. Its the perfect spot to sip a coffee with your mom bestie and let your littles run around. Le Fou Frog

Now I know what your thinking - this newsletter is about Northland spots and Le Fou Frog is not in the Northland. I am throwing this in as an exception because the owners are in fact Northlanders 😉

Le Fou Frog has landed on Yelp’s Top 100 Date night spots list. This is super cool because this list is filled with beautiful restaurants from across the nation. Le Fou Frog landed in the #7 spot!!

LFF is located near the River Market so technically just a hop on the other side of the river. LFF is a French bistro that takes you to France the second you walk in. It has vintage decor and a cozy fireplace along with the decadent French cuisine. While it might be too late to snag a reservation for Valentines day. Make sure to put it on your list of restaurants to try this year.

I have had a crazy idea - and for those of you who know me personally, you know this is typical. I want to create a Northland Icon T-shirt, filled with all the Northland spots that have been around forever and are true staples of the Northland. So I’m asking for your help!

Foodie Friday

Its time to do a deep dive into a Northland Foodie spot. This week I am sharing one of my top secret spots in the Northland, but I love this place so much I don’t want it to be a secret!

Price Rite Market & Deli - Also known as the Little Store.

I used to be a teacher for 9 years. My last school I worked at was right up the street from the Little Store, and that is how I discovered it. From the outside it might not look like much but you would be mistaken in that thought. You can get a giant slice of pizza and a drink for a quick lunch for right around $5!! These days that’s insanely cheap.

The Little Store makes all their own products they serve. From pizza, to sandwiches, to pastas and more. They also have a full section of take and bake items which I like to get for friends when you need to deliver a meal for a new baby arrival, or when someone is sick.

The little store is just off of Waukomis Dr. and Englewood Road. Stop by for a quick slice and tell em you heard about them from 816 Local!
