Thai Orchid

Thai Orchid has been in the Johnson County for over 30 years. But they are about to open a second location in the Northland in the new Metro North Crossing development close by Third Street Social.

Here’s what we know so far. They will offer mainly the same menu as their location in Johnson County with a few additional small plates. The Metro North location will be a much bigger space for Thai Orchid

Here are some dishes you can expect to see these traditional dishes like Pad Thai, Pad Kee Mao, and various curries, but will feature several new items, as well:

• Braised Beef Khao Soi — Northern Thai braised beef curry with egg noodles, garnished with cilantro, shallots, crispy noodles, and pickled cabbage

• Bistro Filet Fried Rice — Garlic fried rice using beef tallow, bistro filet cut of steak on top, served with tiger cry sauce.

• Thai BBQ Chicken — Juicy grilled chicken thigh served with a side of sticky rice and a small bowl of Isaan spicy “Jeaw” sauce

• Tom Yum Wings — Blazing Thai hot wings with Tom Yum soup flavors

• Honey Garlic Soy Ribs — Juicy and tender ribs glazed with honey garlic soy sauce, served with tomatoes and sliced cucumber

KC Momentum is a synchronized skate team located right here in the Northland. The team is looking to grow and here is the thing…..all skill levels are welcome and there are teams ranging from 3-70 years of age. They are having a free event to try it out and get to know more about their teams.
