Rhea Lana’s Northland Event

Rhea Lana’s Northland is about to have their Spring sale. You can get tickets for early access starting THIS week on Friday 2/28 to shop all the deals early. The event is open to the public for free access starting 3/1. This years sale will be held at Zona Rosa in the old Marshalls location. During this massive event you can shop thousands of gently used items all at 65% off retail prices.

Northland Dog of the Week

Each week we showcase a dog from one of the Northland shelters that needs a new home. This week we are working with Pawsitive Tails Dog Rescue in the Northland to share two sweet pups who need a home.

Croaky Balboa - His foster family calls him Boa, and he is an independent guy who likes to strike out on his own and conquer unknown territory. Like the other side of the room, haha. Boa was the runt of his Frog Litter, so he learned to fend for himself. Maybe that is what gave him a little more “Eye of the Tiger” than your typical puppy, if you know what we mean. He is busy and curious, and he can be a lover, but you might have to work for it a little bit and remind him that it’s ok to slow down and cuddle sometimes.

Boa likes to play and gets along with all the people he’s met – and he’s actually met a lot of people because he’s been to a few of our puppy yoga events. We can’t attest to the quality of his downward dog pose, but we can attest that he’s been well-socialized with other dogs, puppies, and people.

FrogZilla - Zilla, as his foster family calls him, is a 2-month-old Labrador Retriever mix who will likely weigh 70-80 lbs. of cuddly comfort when he’s grown up.

He makes friends with all the people he meets, including kids, and he’s great with other dogs. Zilla has been to several of our puppy yoga events, and he’s a well-socialized guy who adapts easily to wherever he is. He loves to play with balls and crinkly toys.

We’ll warn you, though: Zilla has become accustomed to being smothered with kisses. You’ll probably have to keep that up for him as his furever person. He’s really a lover and wants to snuggle at every opportunity when he’s tired from all the fun. Sometimes, he gets so exhausted that he has to lay his head in his water bowl.

Zilla is still a baby, so he doesn’t quite get what all this house-training stuff is about. But he’ll get there quickly once he understands it’s something that his people want. He is going to end up being a loving and affectionate family member. So much better than that giant pink bear you had your eye on at the fair.

Both of these sweet boys are ready to come home and be with their forever people. They are neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines. They will come to you current on heartworm preventative and flea/tick prevention.

1. 🎶Dueling Pianos at Jowler Creek

   Head up to Jowler Creek Winery this Saturday March 1st. Doors open at 5.

2. 🍺Stout Party at Cinderblock

   February is Stout Month, which means it's another reason to throw a PARTAYY! Join us in the taproom on Wednesday, Feb. 26th, for our Annual Stout Party.

3. 📅Final Fridays at Cinderblock

   Friday February 28th enjoy live music with AJ Gaither, Sauls Beef Pop-up 5-8 PM, and Book signing by author KC Enders
